CouldCardi Bbe joining the likes of Beyoncé, Michael Jackson and Britney Spearson Super Bowl Sunday? Well, if this public hint is any indication, it appears the rapper may be the next superstar to be featured in Pepsi’s high-profilecommercial during the big game.
On Thursday night, celebrity nail stylist Jenny Bui posted a photo to Instagram featuring Cardi’s long, red-and-blue, bejeweled nails pressed against the bottom of an equally blinged-out Pepsi can. “Loved this bejeweled set from Cardi’s shoot the other day@iamcardib,” Bui captioned the photo, hinting at a possible commercial shoot.
Neither Cardi nor Pepsi have confirmed her appearance in the Super Bowl 53 spot, however the brand is expected to make an announcement about the star of the commercial next week.
Over the years, the soft drink brand’s Super Bowl commercials have become some of the most memorable and star-studded of the game. Last year, Cindy Crawford— along with her son Presley Gerber—reprised her role in her iconic 1992 ad. In addition toBeyonce, Jackson and Spears, other Pepsi commercial alumni include Janelle Monae, Pink, Madonna and the Spice Girls.
Although Cardi isn’t scheduled to perform duringthe Super Bowl 53 halftime showon Feb. 3rd—Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Outkast’s Big Boi have all been confirmed—the “Bodak Yellow” rapper will hit the stage with Bruno Marsduring the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Feston the night before the game.
