As crazy as it sounds, it is way harder to have the self-awareness and doubts to call off a wedding than to even propose.”Some of Radke and Hubbard’s housemates, especially her best friendDanielle Olivera, expressed skepticism about how fast their relationship moved when the reality starsgot engagedin August 2022 after less thanone year of dating. While Radke says most of his costars moved “past some of the nonsense from previous summers,” he admits “there was some tension” going into summer 2022.He tries not to second guess whether the expedited timeline of his engagement played a role in the relationship not working out.“Sure, there’s things in my past that I wish I could have done differently, but I think you’ll just make yourself crazy trying to rehash and replay,” the Syracuse University grad says. “Things played out the way they did. I can’t go back and change time. I was a different person two years ago, it’s hard to speculate how that would have been. I can only do what I can today and move forward and healing, trying to understand from my past.”Radke hopes that the breakup will make him “a more evolved person,” he says. “I hope all this stuff from the last six months will lead me more down that road.
