Carly Pearceis releasing a new album with the most personal music she’s ever written.

In a press release andInstagram poston Friday, the country singer, 33, announced that her new albumhummingbirdwill be released on June 14.

“The last few years have been a season of loss and growth, of healing and happiness,” Pearce said in the announcement post, which featured the cover art for the album. “A belief that if I did the inner work, I would rebuild myself stronger than I was before, and a knowing that I have done some living and will always be unapologetic about it.”

The “We Don’t Fight Anymore” singer went on to say that the 14 tracks onhummingbird, which is being released on Big Machine Records, “incapsulate my confidence that there is light on the other side of darkness and my true love of country music.”

“When you hear this album — Wherever you are on your journey, I hope it shows you that pain can be a lesson that shows you just how strong you are and what you truly deserve. That we can all find the ‘hummingbird’ in the midst of whatever we’re going through,” she concluded in the caption on Instagram.

Per the album’s press release, Pearce will make her producing debut on the upcoming album, which will be her fourth studio album and her first since 2021’s 29: Written in Stone. Pearce’s co-producers areShane McAnallyand Josh Osborne.

“I am still a work in progress, but these songs represent my honesty, playfulness, and openness to keep growing,” Pearce said in the album’s press release.

Pearce got married to anddivorced from Michael Raywhen she was 29, which served as the inspiration for her 2021 album.

“The traditional side of country music is so important to me, so we’re just really doubling down on that,” she said of the upcoming album. “So much has happened in the last few years for me in my personal life and professional life, and I just feel even more confident to just put my flag on the ground with all that I am.”

In Friday’s press release, Pearce called the titular lead single, the bluegrass ballad “hummingbird” the most “unapologetically ‘Carly’ song I’ve ever written.”
