Cedric the Entertainer’s career has had different chapters but his kids — Tiara, Croix and Lucky — have always been top of mind.
The comedian (whose real name is Cedric Antonio Kyles) married his wife, Lorna Wells, in 1999, and they welcomed two children together: son Croix and daughter Lucky.The Neighborhoodstar is also a father to his older daughter Tiara, whom he shares with a previous partner.
The actor explained that when his children were young, he could take them along to different movie. But as they got older, it became less realistic, and he had to make a decision to stay local.
“It came a point where they had schedules, and I started to book movies where I was going to be gone, like, three months, four months. And I just realized that’s just not [me],” Cedric said.
He continued, “I feel really great that I was able to be a part of my kids’ lives and be at home and have a schedule where I can go to work and come home and do that."

Cedric welcomed his elder daughter Tiara in May 1989 with a previous partner.
When she was a teenager, Tiara occasionally joined her father on the red carpet, including in 2007 when she attended a BET Awards after-party in Hollywood.
Now, Tiara works as a private chef, per her Instagram.In June 2016, she became a mother with the birth of her daughter, Kylo, whom Cedric affectionately calls his “grandcookie.”
In October 2024, Cedric celebrated “National Girl Dad Day,” sharing in anInstagramvideo that he was proud to be the father of “young beautiful young ladies and one amazing granddaughter.”
Croix Kyles, 24

Cedric and Wells’ first child, son Croix, was born on Sept. 29, 2000.
Croix is an animator and artist whose work focuses on “humor, nostalgia and a deep appreciation for African American culture,” perhis website.
He often posts his creations on Instagram, including ananimated shortin January 2025 and awall he paintedin September 2021.

He was also a voice actor in two Christmas films: 2011’sJingle All the Wayand 2012’sJingle & Bell’s Christmas Star.
Croix has dabbled in music as well, collaborating with Cedric on his 2023 Christmas album,The Soul of Christmas.
“My son did one little ooh woo woo in the background, and now he talkin’ about ain’t nobody coming to see you, they coming for me," Cedric said in a December 2023 interview withBlack America Web. “He think he’s the lead singer now … he got that funny bone. He’s silly like me.”

Cedric’s younger daughter, Lucky, was born on Nov. 30, 2003.
Lucky graduated high school in 2021, and her father marked the special occasion with asweet videoon Instagram of her family singingStevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” to congratulate her.
“From your grandfather, godfathers, uncles, brother and me, you make our hearts sing,” Cedric concluded the clip. “We wish you could stay, but we know it’s time for you to go conquer the world.”
Fast forward to 2023, Cedric’s youngest child launched a podcast calledGet Into It with Journey and Lucky, where she discussed life, business and relationships.

In a May 2023 episode, Lucky shared how she used to distance herself from her parents in favor of friends in high school. However, as she got older, she started to value her time with her dad and mom more.
“I feel like I’m more cognizant that I’m ditching my parents now that I’m in college,” she said. “Being in college, I’m like, okay, parents do so much for you … They do everything for you.”
Lucky added, “When you get older, they just want to spend time with you.”
She also joined her brother on her dad’s 2023 Christmas album, lending her vocals to the project.
“It was just great. My daughter got a really sweet voice,” Cedric told Black America Web.
