TheMarvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.actressrevealed on Dec. 31 that she tested positive for COVID-19, and opened up about her battle with the virus in a candid social media post.

“Hey haven’t been on here for a little, wanted to give an update…,” Bennet began a statement posted to herInstagram Story. “On Christmas morning I woke up with a high fever, and unable to breathe. I got tested, and I’m positive for COVID-19 … it’s been a rough week to say the least.”

Bennet said that multiple family members also contracted the virus, but noted, “We’ve all been battling it out together. We’re still not in the clear, but as of now we’re doing…okay.”

“I’m sharing this because I want to iterate to anyone who still may not be taking covid seriously, please please please f—— do,” she added. “Covid sucks. It just really sucks.”

“I pride myself on staying healthy, I always wore a mask, social distanced, and took all the necessary precautions and I still got VERY sick. And I’m one of the lucky ones. I repeat! I’m young, healthy, and diligent about my health and this virus still knocked me the f— down and continues to do so,” she continued. “Even trying to just write this out is proving to be exhausting. If it can happen to me it can happen to you.”

“So I guess I’m on here just trying to remind anyone who’s reading this, that yes 2020 is coming to an end, but this pandemic is still raging on, and if you can, don’t let up. Stay distant, stay safe, wear a mask,” Bennet concluded. “On that note, I love you guys, stay healthy, and happy (almost) new year. X CB. P.S. f— you 2020, I can’t wait to not be in you.”

“D’Andra Simmons has tested positive for COVID and has been admitted to the COVID ward at UT Southwestern Hospital in Texas,” Simmons' rep, Kelly Brady, told PEOPLE on Dec. 28. “Her oxygen levels were borderline and she will start remdesivir. At this time we ask you to respect her and her family’s privacy and to send your prayers for a speedy recovery.”

“2020 has been a crazy/twisted year for all of us. Recently I tested positive for Covid-19, I was lucky enough to catch the news before being around and infecting my loved ones (friends, family, significant other),” the model and personal trainer, 26, wrote on Instagram. “I quickly isolated myself and started my quarantine process alone. 🙏🏽”

Asghari credited a “healthy lifestyle” for only experiencing cold symptoms for one day. He added that he continued working out and eating clean while he was in quarantine.

The French President hastested positive for COVID-19, the Élysée Palace announced on Dec. 17. In a statement they explained that Macron, 42, was tested “at the onset of the first symptoms.” He will now self-isolate for at least seven days.

“In accordance with current health regulations applicable to all, the president of the Republic will isolate himself for seven days. He continues to work and carry out his activities remotely,” the palace said in a statement toCNN.

The French president’s diagnosis follows a week of meetings with other European leaders, some of which have now announced that they will also quarantine in the wake of Macron’s positive test.

The talk show host announced in a statement on Dec. 10 that she hastested positive for COVID-19, but thankfully is “feeling fine right now.”

“Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19,” DeGeneres, 62,wrote on Twitter. “Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.”

PresidentDonald Trumpannounced on Dec. 6 thathis personal attorney was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Shortly after, Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani, confirmed his father’s diagnosis, tweeting: “My Dad @RudyGiuliani is resting, getting great care and feeling well. Thank you to all the friends who have reached out concerned about his well being.”

The former New York City mayor has been traveling across the country, leading Trump’s legal battle to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, in which President-elect Joe Biden won the popular vote.

Later that same day,Giuliani’s account tweeted, “Thank you to all my friends and followers for all the prayers and kind wishes. I’m getting great care and feeling good. Recovering quickly and keeping up with everything.”

Giuliani did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Dec. 7; a representative said more information was likely to be shared later that day but did not comment on Giuliani’s condition or reported hospitalization.

His Twitter account has continued to post since his reported hospitalization, including sharing messages in support of Trump’s baseless claims about his election loss.

“I love these people so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Some of you may have heard I have COVID. I got it after these photos were taken,“Richards wroteon Dec. 5, along with her family’s Christmas portrait this year.

“Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it’s safe to see the family and others again. I can’t wait to hug them,” the Bravo star said.

Richards shares daughters Farrah, 32, Alexia, 24, Sophia, 20, and Portia, 12, with husband Mauricio Umansky.

According to theTimes, Williams went on vacation last month and returned to the Fox News studio on Monday, where he was tested for COVID-19. Then, on Thursday, the journalist received a positive test result, the outlet reported, citing sources who “requested anonymity to share private discussions.”

Speaking on his condition, Williams told the Daily Beast, “I’m not great but I’m not dying or anything.”

In a video posted to Instagram on Dec. 1, Estefan, 63, revealed thatshe tested positivein November, after an encounter with a fan at a restaurant in late October.

On Dec. 1, Hamilton’s Mercedes teamconfirmed to CNNthat the 35-year-old British Formula 1 driver was self-isolating after testing positive,and is only experiencing mild symptoms.

“He is otherwise fit and well, and the entire team sends him its very best wishes for a swift recovery,” the team said in a statement.

According to Mercedes, Hamilton woke up on Nov. 30 with mild symptoms and later found out he had been exposed to the virus prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix the day before. He had tested negative three times the previous week ahead of the race.

In his own social media post, Hamilton wrote that he was “gutted to not be able to race this weekend but my priority is to follow the protocols and advice to protect others.”

He continued, “I’m really lucky that I feel ok with only mild symptoms and will do my best to stay fit and healthy.”

In an interview withUproxx, the actress saidshe had contracted the virusalmost a year ago while traveling in Bangkok to film her upcoming HBO Max series,The Flight Attendant.

According to the star, the cast had “two and a half more episodes to do” when production shut down due to the outbreak.

“I had contracted COVID when we flew to Bangkok,” Perez recalled in the article published on Nov. 30. “And at that time, they were saying ‘It’s a new respiratory tract infection. It’s a virus that’s going around. We don’t really know what it is and what it does, but it attacks the respiratory system first and then travels to other parts of your body.'”

“It was terrifying,” she continued. “I remember my manager was with me, and I said, ‘Tarik, don’t let me die in Bangkok.’ And he goes, ‘Oh my God, you’re scaring me.’ And the head of the ICU says, ‘You should be scared, sir. This is serious. We’re going to have to put her in a separate room.'”

Perez went on to explain that not much was known about the virus at the time because “it was new. [This] was in December.”

“I remember the doctor saying to me, ‘The mask that you have on, the mask that I have on, every time you go outside, every time you meet someone wear that mask — not just for you, but to protect them too,'” she said. “And I haven’t forgotten it.”

The formerBachelor, 39, shared on his Instagram Stories on Nov. 26, that he was diagnosed with COVID-19 “nine days ago,” and that the experience has been “rough” for both him and wifeLauren Burnham.

“Many of you have been wondering why we haven’t doneBachelor Brunch, why we’ve been so absent on social media and why I’m sitting like 25 feet away from the girls. It’s ‘cause I actually tested positive for COVID,” Luyendyk Jr. began. “Tomorrow, I get to go in and see if I’m clear.”

“It’s been rough. I gotta say, it’s not been easy being separated,” he continued.

According to Luyendyk Jr., he’s been isolating “on the other side of the house” away from Burnham, 29, and their 1-year-old daughter,Alessi Ren.

“Lauren has been really sweet,” he told fans. “She’s keeping me fed. She just slides some food outside and then I go get it.”

The former race car driver went on to post a video of Burnham and their daughter sitting on the other side of a long patio table, captioning the clip, “Thanksgiving 2020 has been different.”

The Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway and President and CEO Joe Ellis havetested positive for coronavirus, the Broncos announced on Nov. 3 on Twitter.

“Broncos President & CEO Joe Ellis as well as Football Operations/General Manager John Elway were informed this morning they tested positive for COVID-19,” the statement began.

“After not feeling 100 percent on Sunday morning, Joe promptly reported his symptoms to our medical team and watched Sunday’s game at home as a precaution,” the team said of Ellis, 61. “He continued to work from home on Monday before receiving a positive test result this morning.”

Meanwhile, Elway, 60, “immediately left UCHealth Training Center on Monday morning after experiencing minor symptoms that he quickly brought to the attention of our medical staff,” the Broncos said.

“Other than mild symptoms, both Joe and John are doing well,” the team added. “They will continue to work from home in self-isolation and participate in virtual meetings while their health is monitored.”

The NFL star istaking time to monitor his healthafter the New England Patriots confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.

On Oct. 3, theNFLsaid in a statement that the game between the Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs would be postponed “afterpositive COVID-19 tests on both teams.” The next day, the league announced that the game would be rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 5 at 7:05 p.m. ET.

After his announcement,Trump was hospitalizedfor three days at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and hassince returned to the White House.

On Oct. 5, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley said that Trump would be able to continue his treatment from home at the White House.

“Though he may not be entirely out of the woods yet, the team and I agree that all our evaluations - and most importantly, his clinical status - support the president’s safe return home,” Conley said.

Instead of remaining in isolation, Trump made another outing over the weekend to wave at his supporters outside Walter Reed from his presidential motorcade — a move thatwas criticizedfor putting others at risk of contracting the virus.

Just before leaving Walter Reed, Trump sent out a tweet promising to be back on the campaign trail “soon.”

Johnson said that he and his family contracted the contagious respiratory virus from family friends, who he said are “devastated” that they unwittingly spread the virus.

He said in his video, “So wear your masks. I’m not a politician. I am a man though, who cares about my family deeply and will do everything I can to protect them. But I’m also a man who cares about all of you guys. I don’t care what political party you’re affiliated with. I don’t care what part of the world you’re from. I don’t care what your skin color is, what your job is, what your bank account says. I don’t care. I do care about all of them. And I do not want you or your entire family to get COVID-19.”

Usain Bolt confirmed on Aug. 24 that he had been tested for the virus while addressing reports that he was positive. The retired sprinter, who said that he is not experiencing symptoms, shared a video of himself on social media saying, “[I’m] trying to be responsible so I’m going to stay in.”

Bolt’s positive diagnosis reportedly comes after he allegedly attended a party for his 34th birthday last week,according to Jamaican outlet Nationwide News.

“I’ve been reluctant to share this, having written and rewritten it anxiously. She toldMSNBCthat she tested negative “about two weeks ago,” but decided to get tested again after noticing that her husband was sleeping more than usual. She said they received positive test results on Monday.

She added that “hopefully the virus is out of Nick” after the negative results.

“Thank God!” she said.

The Broncos alsoconfirmed Miller’s diagnosis in a separate statement on their website, saying he tested positive for the virus after “experiencing flu-like symptoms.”

Cuomo said he’s quarantined in his basement and will continue airing his CNN show,Cuomo Prime Time, from there.

“Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive,” Pinkwrote on Instagramon April 3.

“My family wasalready sheltering at homeand we continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor. Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative,” she wrote.

“It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible,” she continued. “This illness is serious and real. Now that she is once again healthy, Pink is doing her part to help those who are battling the virus.

“In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center,” she wrote.

“Additionally, I am donating $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund,” she added. “THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes!”

“The Prime Minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the Government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives,” the spokesperson said, according to BBC News.

By April 12,Johnson has been discharged from St. Thomas’ Hospitalin London.

I figured I had jacked my immune system from having a fun night with friends,” she wrote. “I called a doctor/friend to ask if I could get the Covid-19 test on 3/16. Dhowre went on to share that even after learning her husband had potentially been exposed to the virus, she made the decision to fly out to be with him.

“As soon as I heard that Idris was potentially exposed, I mean, I was on my way anyway, I wanted to be with him,” she said. “I think that’s an instinct as a wife. You just want to go and take care.”

“We didn’t change the way we interacted,” she added. “I could have made a decision to put myself maybe in a separate room or stay away, and I’m sure that people are making those decisions that are tough decisions to make. But I made the decision to be with him and still touch him.”

Elba explained that on the day he may have been exposed to the virus, he and his wife had been together — and they continued to spend time together until he left for New Mexico for work.

Janet, a rector, fell ill after attending the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes conference in Louisville, Kentucky — the same event at which another attendee was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, her church spokesperson said.

Though Janet initially received treatment for what doctors believed was a viral syndrome, she was admitted into the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills following a medical assessment, according to the parish. There, Janet tested positive for the coronavirus.

The church said Broderick is currently in stable condition as she remains in isolation, and is being treated for a severe form of pneumonia.
