Cherhad theLOVE ROCKS NYC Benefitcrowd all shook up with herElvis Presleyimpersonation.
On Thursday, March 6, at the Beacon Theater, the 78-year-old “I Got You, Babe” singer rocked a moussed-up wig, a pinstripe jacket and tucked-in bowler shirt to sing Marc Cohn’s 1991 song “Walking in Memphis.” Cohn, 65, reportedly wrote the song after a visit to the late legend’s Graceland estate in Memphis.
Her faux pompadour and suit were reminiscent of the costume she wore in her1995 music videoof the song — which played in the background of her performance. The audience could be seen moving and grooving to the tunein a video shared from the set.

Before her second song, “(This Is) A Song for the Lonely,” the Oscar winner paid tribute to the city. “The first time I moved to New York, I was 14,” Cher told the crowd.
“And I’ve lived here off and on my whole life. And so I’m a New Yorker. And when I heard this song, I immediately knew what kind of video I had to make of what I felt in my heart.”
“(This Is) A Song for the Lonely) was released in March 2002, months after 9/11. She replicated the outfit she wore in the song’s music video in a striped winter hat and puffer jacket.
For her final — and perhaps her most well-known — song, Cher wore a cropped hot pink blazer and black pants to sing “Believe.”
