Drag queens and celebrity impersonators beware: try as you may, you can’t truly mimicCherin Cher’s eyes.
Her confession came after Fallon, 44, attempted to imitate Cher’s cover of ABBA’s “Fernando” inMamma Mia: Here I Go Again —a take she was happy to tell him was “terrible.”
“I don’t mind it because I have never heard anybody who did a really good one,” Cher said.
“Nobody does it,” she added. “They make some noises and facial impressions and I try to find myself in there but it’s so much bulls—.”

Ironically, Cher was onThe Tonight Showwith Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland), and newcomer Micaela Diamond — three actresses who play her in her new Broadway biopic musical,The Cher Show.
The production, now open at New York City’s Neil Simon Theatre, uses a string of her hits — including “I Got You Babe,” “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” and “Believe” — to help tell the story of her life.

Each actress steps into Cher’s iconic shoes at different points in her life and seven-decade career. And they were nervous doing it too, especially with Cher watching in the audience.
“You’re Cher, of course we were nervous,” Block, 46, told Cher onThe Tonight Show, where she, Wicks, and Diamond also appeared.
“Now we have this beautiful sisterhood that we are blessed to have. But before, when you’re playing Cher for Cher, and you’ve got to use the voice and you’ve got to measure up and have all the things that make Cher Cher in front of Cher, it’s very nerve-wracking,” Block joked to Fallon.
Later onThe Tonight Show, Cher joined Diamond and Spector on the classic Sonny and Cher tune, “I Got You Babe,” and then all three “Chers” to sing “If I Could Turn Back Time.”
She also participated in a few gags on the show, including the show’s opening monologue and new Lip Sync Karaoke segment.

Cher originally sawThe Cher Showback in June while it was having its out-of-town tryout in Chicago. She hilariously toldThe Chicago Tribuneafterwards that it “needs work.”
During a conversation with Tony-winning producer Jeffrey Seller (Hamilton) for his SiriusXM specialThe Cher Show: Making the Musical, Cher said she loved seeing all three Chers on stage together, including some scenes in which an older version of Cher gives advice to a younger version of Cher.
“I only wish it would have really happened,” the star joked. ‘I could have saved a whole lot of painful s—, okay? I wish that they would have been there and someone who could say, ‘You can leave him!'"
Meanwhile, Cher is keeping plenty busy on the road with her Here We Go Again 2019 tour, her first journey across the States in five years.
The tour — which kicked off Jan. 17 in Ft. Myers, FL and runs through May 18 in St. Paul, MN — features special guests Nile Rodgers and CHIC. The hitmaker performs many of her classics from her six-decade career in the show, along with some new songs off of herDancing Queenalbum —an ABBA covers collectionwhich was released on Sept. 28.
As if that’s not enough, SiriusXM announced on Monday that they’d be launching a new limited-run music channel dedicated to Cher, with exclusives stories from Cher herself and music fromThe Cher Show’s cast recording.
“I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job with my music than the brilliant cast ofThe Cher Showand I’m looking forward to talking about the show and my career on the new SiriusXM channel,” Cher said in a statement.
The Cher Channel will begin streaming on April 17 (at 12 p.m. ET) and will run through May 1 (at 3 a.m. ET) on SiriusXM Ch. 4.
