Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D.andChicago Justicestar Jon Seda is exiting the popular NBC drama franchise, the actorconfirmedon Instagram Saturday.
Along with Seda,Chicago Medstars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling will also depart the franchise.
While all three series were picked up for next season back in February,Deadlinereports that the cast shake-up is due to creative reasons.
Seda, who starred as Detective Antonio Dawson, got his start with the Dick Wolf-created franchise onChicago Firebefore becoming one of the original leads onChicago P.D. He leftP.D.during season 4 to joinChicago Justice, but after the drama failed to take off, Seda returned toChicago P.D.as a series regular.

“It’s been an honor portraying Det. Antonio Dawson in the #OneChicago world,” Seda wrote on Instagram. “To my cast & crew #Family, I’ll always treasure the time and stories we shared. To all you #chihards out there, THANK YOU for being the best of fans! We’ll Always have CHICAGO.”
Kuhling’s departure just comes two seasons after she joined the popular franchise as Dr. Ava Bekker.
Donnell, who had played Dr. Connor Rhodes onChicago Medsince season 1, confirmed his exit on Twitter.
“Sorry to say that this is true,” he wrote. “I love my#ChicagoMed#OneChicagofamily dearly. And a special thank you to all the fans that have made these last four seasons so amazing.”
Donnell, like many of the franchise regulars, also made several appearances onChicago P.D.andChicago Fire.
Sophia Bush, who leftP.D.in 2017, showed her love to Donnell, replying to his tweet saying, “A true gentleman, you are, dear sir. Much love.”
But it’s not all sad news coming out of the One Chicago franchise.Deadlinerevealed last week thatChicago Firestars Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney had renewed their contracts.
