According toTom’s Guide, the adventure/action film took over the No. 1 spot from the Netflix thrillerCarry-Onon Jan 6.

This comes ten years after its release, which saw it flounderat the box officeafter failing to reach its $100 million budget. It also bagged a 42% score onRotten Tomatoes.

In the movie, Holland, 28, played the role of the young Thomas Nickerson, while Brendan Gleeson played the older version of the character. ActorCillian Murphyalso portrayed Matthew Joy, while Ben Wishaw played Herman Melville.

Back in 2015, Hemsworth opened up aboutlosing 33 lbs. in four weeksfor his role in the movie.

The star toldGood Morning Americathat it was more difficult to lose weight than to gain the same amount of weight forThor.

“The gaining is fine, you just eat a lot and you lift weights but that was underfed, which led to a pretty moody existence and inconsistent emotions,” he said.

He added that his 500 calories a day diet included boiled eggs, salads and “nothing much.”

“You play all sorts of games – if I eat this maybe I don’t eat that,” Hemsworth said. “The insanity is nuts.”
