They know what they want, but they can’t tell you because they don’t know the words yet,” Pratt says. “He’s so vocal that it’s not that hard for him.”Michael Rozman/WarnerHowever, having a precocious toddler makes discipline tough on Pratt’s part. “It’s super frustrating because you’re like, ‘Jack, I think it’s time for you to go to bed.’ And he’s like, ‘I thought about it and no thanks, Dad. Not right now,’ ” Pratt shared.“He’s so polite, what am I supposed to do? He’ll be like, ‘Hmm, I don’t think so, I’d rather not right now.’ I’m like, ‘I did teach you to be polite … Okay, you can stay up.’ ”Over the holidays, as the family visited with friends, Pratt said he made a little nest so Jack, who had no crib where they were staying, could sleep on the floor next to his parents’ bed. The well-mannered boy didn’t mind the situation and seemed to intuitively understand the stress of the season.“I said, ‘You know, Jack, there’s a lot of people here and it’s very loud and you know people are gonna be having a lot of fun and there might even be some tension.’ And he just said, ‘It’s family.’ I almost started crying.
