Chris Youngis speaking out after charges against him related to aNashville bar arrestearlier this monthwere dropped.
After the country star wascleared of all chargesfollowing an alleged police altercation at the DawgHouse Saloon last week, he took to social media on Thursday tothank fans for their “love and support"throughout the ordeal.
“Hey guys, so I just wanted to say something. You know, I’m still processing a lot through the false accusations and everything that went on in the past week,” said Young, 38, in a video. “But I wanted to say first and foremost, thank you to everybody that had my back.”
“It meant the world to me and I had so many friends and fans reach out and say, ‘We got you, we don’t believe you did any of this.’ So it’s really nice to see the charges get dismissed,” continued theNashville Staralum. “It’s not something I wish anybody has to go through ever. But, like I said, the bright spot was seeing just all the love and support.”
Young then announced he’ll be releasing a new song, “Double Down,” on Friday ahead of his upcoming albumYoung Love & Saturday Nights, out March 22.
“So what I wanted to do as a thank you to you guys — because this was not planned — is drop a new song from the album so you guys will have something to listen to,” he continued. “We’re going to put out ‘Double Down’ at midnight and I really hope you guys enjoy this one. Crank it up, enjoy it — I appreciate you, I love you, and thank you.”

Last week, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funkreleased a statementthat read, “Regarding the Chris Young incident – After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.”
Younghad been arrested and chargedwith disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer, and resisting arrest following an alleged altercation at the DawgHouse Saloon on Jan. 22. He was taken into custody and later released on bonds of $250 for the disorderly conduct charge, $1,000 for the resisting arrest charge, and $1,250 for the assault charge.

Per the affidavit, the musician conversed with the TABC agents checking the Tin Roof bar’s ABC cards and filmed the moment. After the agents did a compliance check at DawgHouse and were looking to exit the location, Young was alleged to have reached out and “struck” one of them on the shoulder.
He was then alleged to have “began yelling and screaming,” refusing to follow the directions of an agent speaking to him after the agent pushed him away.
